Introduction
Americos photochromic colors are plastisol-based inks, which are off-white
when not exposed to UV radiation. It gains colour when exposed to Sun light
/ UV light. The color change is "reversible," i.e., the color will
fade again and appear colour less upon removal from UV light / sun light
exposure. These inks are available in various colors. See our colour

The uses of Americos Photochromic colors are :
- On garment to create novel products and promotional items like
T-shirts
- On fabric/garment to print company logo / brand name to prevent
duplication
- On garment which are used for party wear
- Thermometers and temperature indicators
- Security printing
- Food industry to indicate temperature of packaged food
Properties
Application of Photochromic colour on garment
Americos photo-chromic textile colors changes color with changes in light
intensity. They print and cure as easily as other plastisol inks. They will
not chock your screen and do not contain any solvents. They may be printed
on 100% cotton synthetic/cotton blends.
Americos Photochromic colors are plastisol based ready to use off-white
liquid. When exposed to UV radiation, colour appears. These inks are
available in various hues.
Photochromic colour can be applied on garment by three methods -
- Spray
- Brush
- Screen Printing
In all above methods, Photochromic colour is directly applied on
garment and cured at 150°C for 30-90 seconds.
Special Care Instruction
Americos photo-chromic colors should be printed on white or light colors.
The following suggestions should be kept in mind when running the
thermo-chromic colour.
- Recommended screen mesh: 130-200 mesh count with 150 preferred.
- Deposit thickness: 1-3 mils
- Curing: 155-160º C for 30-90 seconds (colour should not be
over-cured)
Note: Residual colour may be a problem with colorless to color inks.
This can be controlled by putting down a thinner film, though this may
affect color intensity as well. Residual color can also become a problem if
too much heat is used in drying the inks.
Storage & Handling
- Store in a cool, dry place
- Avoid direct exposure to UV/sunlight
- The material is combustible, and should not be kept / used near open
flame
- It must be used within three months of purchase.
- Storage longer than six months not recommended.

Introduction
Americos Glow in Dark Colorants is a blended mineral compound that responds
quickly to excitation by daylight, incandescent, fluorescent or ultraviolet
light. This pigment emits a bright phosphorescence shade. It exhibits high
initial brightness and long afterglow, up to 2 hours. The afterglow effect
is dependent on pigment concentration, surface area and amount of radiant
energy absorbed.
The uses of Americos Glow in Dark Colorants are :
- On garment to create novel products and promotional items like
T-shirts, which are used in disco parties
- On fabric/garment to print company logo / brand name to prevent
duplication
- On garments which are used for party Americos Glow in Dark Colorants
can be mixed with certain transparent pigments or colorants such as
fluorescent dyes and pigments. This combination will achieve some very
attractive special effects.

Americos Glow - in - the dark colour can be applied on garment by three
methods -
- Spray

- Screen Printing
In all above methods, Glow - in - the dark color is directly applied on
garment and cured at 150?C for 5 minutes.
Precautions
When handling Americos Glow - in - the dark colour, some precautions should
be taken when:
- Avoid working with strong acids since this can cause dissolution of
phosphorescent pigments.
- In the presence of high relative humidity and sunlight,
phosphorescent pigments can exhibit darkening.
- In the presence of metal ions, phosphorescent pigments can lose their
ability to glow.
- The addition of colorless extenders or colored pigments will reduce
the intensity of the phosphorescence (afterglow effect)
- Testing is recommended in the intended application to determine
suitability.

Americos Invisible Blue Spray SPXT is a dispersion of invisible pigments.
Americos Invisible Blue Spray provides excellent coverage on colored
grounds. Americos Invisible Blue Spray exhibits excellent running properties
on all types of spray, brush, or knife-edge applications. A soft hand binder
is incorporated in the product for excellent fastness and hand. Treated
fabric or treated areas on fabric will exhibit bluish hue under black
light/UV light.
Application
- Material has to be first treated with Americos Pre-Treat IJP between
20-30 gm/liter.
- Americos Invisible Blue Spray is ready for use out of the drum,
Addition of extra lubricant to this product is optional, Add a print
thickener for printing applications.
