Americos Elastomer 1140
(Elastic & Wrinkle Free Finishing for poly-cotton)

Americos Elastomer 1140 is an innovative finishing agent, which is composed of multifunctional polyurethane. It is also used to achieve wrinkle free finish for polyester/ cotton, polyester, viscose, spandex, etc and their blends. It enhances elasticity and prevents wrinkle formation in fabric.

Application:
Exhaust Method:
Use: 1 - 4 % weight of fabric

Padding Method:
Use: 10 - 40 g/l

Treated Condition:
Padding 20 - 50 g/l

Pick - up 70 - 80 %

Curing 150°C - 180°C (Time 30 - 60 sec.)

Precaution:
Before using with other finishing agents jointly in finishing process, Americos Elastomer 1140 is required to pretest compatibility with them sufficiently. It is proper that pH of temperature bath is 5 - 6.

Storage & Handling Precautions

• Store in a cool/dry place
• Avoid storing in direct sunlight
• The shelf life of Americos Elastomer 1140 is one year, if stored below 30°C
• The usual storage, handling and safety precautions should be observed

Ameristol IOL Plus
(Permanent elastic finishing agent)

Introduction:
Ameristol IOL Plus is a permanent elastic finishing agent with super handle. It can be combined with easy-care and similar finishes. Prior tests are recommended in all cases to determine the influence of any combination on the final effects.

pH-Value	4-5
Solubility	Easily diluted with cold water. Dilution water must be slightly acidic.
Acid Stability	Stable to normal mill dilutions
Alkali Stability	Not stable to presence of alkali
Water Hardness	Stable to water of 50° German hardness.

Compatibility:

• Ameristol IOL Plus has soft flowing handle with "springy" character
• It is temperature stable and improves sewability performance
• It is suitable for thermo sol process
• It is durable for dry-cleaning

Usage:
Ameristol IOL Plus gives increased elasticity and a soft smooth handle to all fiber types and their mixtures.

Pad bath:

Ameristol IOL Plus	5 - 20 g/l
Wet pick-up	80 - 100 %
Dry	150° C

Easy-care finishes:
Ameristol IOL Plus may be combined with normal easy-care resins to give durable softening effects together with a positive effect on abrasion resistance, Elmendorf values and crease recovery.

Typical pad bath recipe:

Americos Wrinkle Free ARN	30-60 g/l
Ameristol IOL Plus	5 - 20 g/l
Acetic acid (60 %)	2 g/l
Magnesium chloride	10- 20 g/l
Wet pick-up	70- 80 %
Drying	130°C
Curing	4 min at 150°C

Comment:
To avoid problems with alkaline liquors, dilutions should be made with the prior addition of 1-3 g/l Acetic acid. Strong mechanical forces may have an adverse effect on liquors containing silicone products such as Ameristol IOL Plus. Therefore the use of high pressure pumps and high shear mixers should be avoided.

Storage & Handling Precautions:

• Store in a cool place
• Avoid storing in direct sunlight
• The shelf life of Ameristol IOL Plus is six month if stored below 40°C
• The usual precautions in keeping chemicals away from eyes and skin should be observed
